Black Lives and the ‘New’ Commonwealth: Decolonisation, Race and Justice

In October, the Round Table, the University of Birmingham and the Association of Commonwealth Universities held an online discussion on Black Lives and the “New” Commonwealth in Post-War Britain: Decolonisation, Race and Justice. It is part of a series aimed at using the Commonwealth Games to initiate a debate on the historical and contemporary relevance of the Commonwealth.
Two former members of Commonwealth Secretariat staff – Joel Kibazo and Mischa Manderson Mills – took part in the discussion with Baroness Ushar Prashar and Sunder Katwala.
The discussion can be viewed on Youtube.
